A soft wash approach, low-pressure rinsing with a cleaning solution rather than a pressure stream, removes moss without stripping the surface underneath it. Gutter debris load from the moss and dislodged granules is also worth checking afterward, since both can wash into gutters and downspouts and hold water there.
